In Japan, cherry blossoms are often depicted as symbols of the arrival of spring. And "Hana" means flower in Japanese, while "Ikada" means raft. When cherry blossoms bloom by the side of rivers or ponds and scatter, the water surface is covered with cherry blossom petals, creating a beautiful scene filled with cherry blossom color. This state is expressed as "Hanaikada."
However, it's not something you can see everywhere in Japan. One famous place to see flower rafts is Hirosaki. If you're interested, searching for "Hirosaki Japan hanaikada" may show you images of the actual scene.
日本では春の訪れを象徴する花として桜がよく描かれます。
川や池などの水場の側に咲いた桜が散ると、その花びらで水面が桜色に埋め尽くされ美しい光景が広がる。 その状態を"花筏"と表現するのです。
ただ、日本のどこでも見られるわけではなく、花筏が見られる名所の一つとしては弘前が有名です。 興味がある方は「hirosaki Japan hanaikada」といったワードで画像検索すると実際の様子がみられるかもしれません。
