As part of the curriculum, I was tasked to design a graduation dais in South B, Nairobi.
The brief requirements were:
   - A podium capacity of 50 persons,
   - Washrooms for both VIPs and other people,
   - Two shops at least 9 sq. metres each and,
   - Any other space thought relevant.

I employed the concept of a medal. This was supposed to be symbolic as graduations are a reward-oriented event.
The site belongs to the Technical University of Kenya. It hosts the institution's male hostels, staff quarters, a multipurpose hall and other preexisting structures.
The podium imitates the head of a medal while the auxiliary services extend outwards as ribbons.
The roof pattern and different colouring further defines a medal as viewed from above.
