"Patience is power.
Patience is not an absence of action;

rather it is 'timing'
it waits on the right time to act,
for the right principles
and the right way."
– Fulton J. Sheen

What is this work about? It's about waiting. It's about those moments in life when we have to wait – sometimes longer than we planned, longer than we wanted, longer than we hoped for. We want to move on, we want things to happen faster, but that place just would't let us go. "The time has not come yet" – it says.

So we stay there – frustrated, reluctant, eager to change. We desperately want to move on, to escape from this limbo. We don't want to be here anymore. "What am I waiting for? Why can't you let me go?" – we ask angrily. Silence. The time has not yet come.

We sit down by the fire, angry, upset. As we look into flames, the mind begins to slow down. One by one the thoughts disappear, until it finally becomes silent. In that silence we hear whispers of those who were here before us. The fire illuminates our soul with warm, bright light. We are not in rush anymore. We have time. Our life happens right here, right now. Why would we want to be anywhere else? As our thoughts calm down, we start to really feel what is happening within us. Without naming it, without using words to create descriptions that always separated us from the experience.

We have found what we were looking for. It was right here, right now. It was within us the whole time.
We are sitting down, looking into the fire.
The time has come.
