Part of an assignment for my Computer Imaging Portfolio class - 'Jibun no Jimusho'. We were tasked with naming and creating logos for 5-7 musical artists and a jimusho (production company), then scanning 20 images from books and combining every element into three poster designs. We then printed the posters using a risograph.
Each of my bands were inspired by metalcore / rock / punk music genres; I did hand-lettering for 'INFECTION STAGE ONE' and 'Unholy Witch' and illustrated the logos for 'Morningstar' and 'Carnival Killing'. 'Blood Vendetta' and 'Sundown Productions' both use preexisting typefaces (Undaunted and Marvin Visions, respectively), but still include hand-drawn elements. I scanned and then image-traced my 20 images on Illustrator to give them a crunchy, scanned-too-many-times look and wanted to go with exclusively blue and pink on the posters for a pop-punk feel. I also illustrated the thorns and spikes borders for posters 1 and 2.
