Kani Maran is located west of Soran at a distance of 92 kilometers from Erbil. Kani Maran is a name derived from its scarce waters barely enough to quench the thirst of snakes. Renovation works have changed the whole story. Even though water flows richely nowadays, the resort has kept its name.
