Legacy voice and text search interface from before my time. The caregory searched selector is below the search field and mic. On the search animation, aside from the UI being green unlike the rest of the app, the cancel button is hard to reach and the interface is visually overwhelming.
Category to be searched simplified into title with drop-down menu, search field is of secondary importance and retained in a subtle color scheme in the position that search fields are usually found. Voice search placed into an easy to find button in an ergonomically easy position to start/stop. Search animations themselves have been de-boxed with their colors matching the app orange. iOS7 blurring has been leveraged to pull the active state of the system up above the UI and simplify the experience.
