'Empathic Diorama' has come about as a collective framework for the reflection of personal experience in its spatial dimension. During discussions and workshops with the fellows, we shared the memories and reified them in a small replica of a diorama with clay objects. Shaped through dialogue and reciprocal reflection, the 'Empathic Diorama' has revealed itself not merely as a manifestation for the moment of mutual understanding, but also as a potential support structure for dealing with complex shared pasts, particularly in post-conflict situations.
This publication is a final content report for the project 'Empathic Diorama' completed during the residency at ZK/U Berlin.
