Photoshoot №2: The Antagonist
"Don't let her flame to go out in a freezing darkness.
She waits, she is still searching for your sight."
For this photoshoot, the participant wanted to embody a villain, an antagonist. Someone who isn't dark because they are necessarily evil but because they are misunderstood. The participant herself is a novel writer, though her childhood dream was to be an actor and play a villainous character at least once. Unfortunately, she couldn't fulfil her dream, therefore, it was on our team to help her experience this fantasy.
While discussing the nuancess of the look, I discovered that the main focus must be on the scars that will be placed in several parts of the participant's face. Thus, I went for a soft and easy makeup look whitening up the face of the model to make her look a little more mysterious and intimidating. I chose the natural brow look while using grey eyeshadow for contouring and "dusty" eye makeup.
Finally, we decided on the perfect spots for scars, and I used my SFX makeup skills to recreate them.
P.S: We also used some aqua-activated paints and applied them with a rough sponge to recreate this messy soot effect.
Here's the results!
