Magazine created for a college project within the scope of editorial design for the magazine "umbigo" choosing a designer as the main theme of this issue.
The chosen designer was Armin Hoffmann, a prestigious Swiss graphic designer, born in 1920. Widely recognized for his significant contributions to graphic design and his influence on education in this field. Hofmann was a prominent professor at the Basel School of Design in Switzerland, where he taught for several decades and had a lasting impact on generations of designers.
His approach to design is characterized by a strong emphasis on clarity, simplicity and formal experimentation. He is known for his distinctive posters, which often combine simple geometric shapes, expressive typography, and innovative use of color. Hofmann is also recognized for his pedagogical approach, emphasizing the importance of the creative process and in-depth understanding of fundamental design principles.
