Flat N°3 | White glass & milt effect

Two entities are made evident. On one hand, a vast polyvalent living space that simultaneously is the reception space and the family area – gathering the living, the kitchen and the dining room altogether. On the other hand, the master bedroom with its en suite bathroom that gives its depth. These two entities are connected by a blue corridor that is both the place where people meet and the non-place that sets rooms and people apart.
The main material in the living room is extra-clear white lacquered finish glass. Numerous shelves and cupboards are to be found behind this white blanket. By contrast, the entrance, and the book shelves are treated in a similar manner through the use of dark-wood paneling. The omnipresence of this white glass does not only provides a stunning milt effect on the room surfaces, but also brings the ever-changing colors of the Parisian sky into the flat, through the reflection of the urban landscape.
