In order to characterize the project I would use two words: aggression and homophobia. The issue of homosexual love in the modern world is open, as well as the issue of aggression directed against women, children, sexual minorities, etc.At present homosexuality is positive, and is a recognized fact, while homophobia has a completely negative character and looks same as racism, xenophobia, anti-semitism and sexism.
November 16, 2011 in St. Petersburg, passed a law against  promotion of homosexuality, which added a number of incidents of discrimination against gays and lesbians, such as criminal prosecution, invasion of privacy, etc. The law is theoretically not denied the rights and freedom of  individuals, but practically has open and legitimate calls for violence. According to the statistics in Russia 27% of gay men and lesbians are subjected to physical violence because of their sexual orientation.
Russia is not the only country in the world where gay men and women are subjected to violence (more than 90% of american gay men and lesbians report being targets of verbal abuse or threats, and more than one-third report being survivors of violence related to their homosexuality; such same problems exist in Iraq, Israel, Estonia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Ukraine, etc.), the example given earlier, only confirms the relevance of this problem.
Although the causes of homophobia are unclear, several psychoanalytic explanations have emerged from the idea of homophobia as an anxiety-based phenomenon. One psychoanalytic explanation is that anxiety about the possibility of being or becoming a homosexual may be a major factor in homophobia.
One of the latest research in this area conducted by scientists from the University of Rochester in the UK with the support of the University of California at Santa Barbara in the USA. The reasons for this aggressive behavior are rooted in painful features of upbringing. The study's authors believe that the representatives of sexual minorities remind homophobes themselves that causes fear and breeds aggression. This happens because most homophobes brought up in families where homosexuality was considered unacceptable. As a result, these people are used to suppress their true sexual and emotional attraction, and their unresolved internal conflict eventually began to come out in the form of expression of aggression against homosexuals.Numerous studies in this area do not give a clear answer to the question of the nature of homophobia and aggression, but the mainstream theory is quite obvious. Aggressive behavior is caused by homophobic uncertainty. Fear is born of uncertainty, pushing homophobes on aggressive behavior, which give them a certain sense of satisfaction. If we consider the aggression in terms of emotions, the homophobes view it as an act of satisfaction, unconsciously fulfilling those desires that physically they can't afford.
This idea was the basis of my project. The contrast between love and hate, tenderness and cruelty represents a struggle between "want" and "should." Aggression is presented as an act of self-deception. The tagline "I mean I love you" makes accents, representing desired as valid. And the phrase "United Genders" refers to the brand United Colours of Benetton best known as the most caring and free-thinking."
