Magical Animals is an unsigned, independent band based in San Diego, California. Their music is noisey, psychedelic and shoegazey, similar to The Jesus & Mary Chain, Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine. They use a lot of "magical" animals (unicorns, jackalopes, wizardy forest creatures) in the flyers, so I wanted to maintain that aesthethic with this album cover. While I AM a cartoonist, drawing in Illustrator is not a strong suit (at least not yet), so I ran into some trouble with my squirrel and getting the right textures on my acorns.
