陆零肆 carries a direct meaning of the land with the title of ‘Pearl of the Orient’, which means 604, the dial code of the state. This artwork tells a story which people don’t often notice in this beautiful land – the men who keep passing down the symbolic cultures. In this artwork, it illustrates the older generation who is hard working in maintaining and trying to pass down the state’s symbolic cultures, no matter the iconic trishaw or the heritage buildings. Some of them have no descendants to inherit the cultures, and they have to work until the last moment of lights out in their lives.
