This Project is about creating a creative packaging design for a Ramen company. The goal is for it to function well into small living spaces like dorm rooms or tiny apartments via hanging. This is being commissioned because current large packs of Ramen take up too much space and are complicated to open. Therefore, this project approaches noodle packaging as a multi-use product that can hold 6 packages as two alternative storing options (hanging or carrier).

uninoodle is an (fictitious) Western instant ramen company centered toward warmth, silliness and comfort. They sell uninoodle cups, packs, and boxes that can be purchased from convenience stores and online platforms, making it easy for consumers to access their favorite instant ramen wherever. Uninoodle values convenience, affordability, comfort, silliness and quality in their production and competitors include Maruchan, Nissin Top Ramen, Nongshim, Sapporo Ichiban, and Annie Chun’s.

This packaging was designed for freshmen college students who are starting their first year and are feeling anxious. With the new environment, everything can be a little intimidating and chaotic. They have new living spaces that may be smaller than what they are used to. They don’t have their parents to cook their meals or wash their clothes.This product provides this audience some stability and comfort as they journey through college life. It gives them the space to make tasteful decisions for their ramen preferences and an additional storing option when the kitchen feels a little cramped. Not to mention, the design of the package embarks comfort and relaxation for when a student needs to refresh from all the stress.
