I'm currently part of a three month residency programme at Topolski Studio. Based on the life and work of Feliks Topolski we are encouraged to pursue reportage, a way of visually documenting events happening around us. These are a selection of drawings I've produced at various events we've been taken to and have experienced as part of the course.
The three images below are documentation of a poetry convention at The Royal Festival Hall to celebrate David Constantine's 70th Birthday.
'I stare, he stares'
An overheard snippet of a poem which I felt was appropriate to jot down whilst I watched this man captivated by Constantine's poem reading.
'Nothing is asked of you but that you listen'.
This was something read out by the poet which I picked on whilst documenting this pensive pensioner.
