This project is based on a videogame, "Final Fantasy XIII-2."
Once the cosplayer Kelsey Leavitt informed me about her character Serah, the challenging part was choosing what detail or theme to add to this project from the vast world of Final Fantasy XIII-2.
I could not pass up the opportunity of making a photo realistic MOOGLE. Stock footage of a kitten and the liquify tool in Photoshop was used.
After adding the road leading into the portal gate, I added a few details such as cracks and mist in the horizon.
Photo is stock footage of a Nebula. I wanted to warp the space clouds to start the opening of the portal gate.
