Brazilian words

This series of lettering illustrations, applied on hoodies, uses everyday Brazilian words that carry affectionate connotations. The drawings were created boldly to contrast with the endearing meanings of the words.

Dengo: Refers to a gesture or demonstration of affection, tenderness, sweetness, and care. It can be used to describe a loving gesture or token of affection, as well as to refer to a person in a loving manner.

Chamego: It has a similar connotation to "dengo." It refers to a demonstration of affection, care, or intimacy between two people. It is commonly used to describe moments of closeness and emotional comfort.

Axé: This word has roots in Afro-Brazilian culture and can have various meanings. In the Afro-Brazilian religious context, "axé" is used to invoke good energies, blessings, and spiritual power. In a broader context, it can be used to wish luck, happiness, and protection.
