Haben Fabrics, a trading company that specializes in importing premium fabrics tailored for dresses the client wanted a Visual identity that uniquely identifies their brand story while appealing as both B2B (as a Fabric Vendor ) and B2C (as a Tailor made Dress Store) Brand. The project was a interesting journey toward building a brand identity lead with a logo design with elements that radiate the essence of the brand promise.


The Brand
Haben Fabrics imports variety of fabric types and adds value with custom orders delivered as trendy yet very personal set of dresses. The Dresses are crafted to be Detailed & Durable. The company also provides large-scale import orders for operating as a vendor. The brand connects with customers mainly on print and social media and would like to tell its brand story with a strong, versatile & memorable logo.




The Approach
The Brand needs to appeal for both individuals & companies, so the approach was to capture the essence of the brand promise "We Import, Customize & Deliver High-Quality Fabric Dresses." the Key terms being Premium, Fabrics & Dresses .
In the Journey the brand was updated to be called Haben Fabrics to highlight unique value proposition. For The logo-mark explored concepts that capture the Essence that brings together both market segments.

Dresses: There are many types of Dresses both in the Haben fabric portfolio & the customer's mind, so the idea was further encapsulated into the weaving nature of dresses
The chosen concept combined the idea of the initials of the name with the letter Ha, with an elegant weaving dress to convey the specialization, and a Halo combined together that tells a story of how the customer would finally feel with premium haben fabrics.


The Logo Design
The logo Design features the essence of the brand promise "Fabrics for Dresses", it captures the graceful curve of a flowing dress, draped in timeless beauty blended with the Amharic Letter Ha. The design maintains versatility with a flexible set of color modes that ensures easy application on social media and over print materials. The Ha, with its strong vertical stroke, stands as the spine of the dress, the very foundation upon which its elegance rests. It is a symbol of strength, of standing tall, of holding oneself with the Elegance. Together, the dress and the Ha become a singular emblem. It speaks of a woman, adorned in the riches of her heritage, yet empowered by her own inner fortitude.
The Elements
From the symbolic Visual mark of the logo to the evocative color palette, a deliberate narrative unfolds, the design is meant to evoke the brand promise into a "feel" to the target market weather as a direct to customer couture Store and as a reliable fabric trading partner. The Colors include the primary color Persian Gold (#2a286a): This deep, regal hue evokes a sense of timeless sophistication and enduring value to the brand. Hibiscus Rose (#c53565): This passionate bloom bursts forth with a fiery energy, symbolizing the vibrancy and boldness of the feminine. the colors can combine into a gradient leaving a creative space for different contexts.

and Haben Silver (for watermark and image treatment): This cool, shimmering shade acts as a canvas, a silent storyteller. Black and white overlays, achieved through the subtle application of Haben Silver give the image treatments a cohesive sense. & Haben Gold (#d58d24): The warmth of this metallic interpretation echoes the rich enduring and grounded promise of quality and craftsmanship.
