Foundations Review (2023)
At Marshall University, as a part of the BFA courses, you are required to take Foundations; which are classes that involve hands-on work/ projects. These courses include; printmaking, fiber arts, drawing, collage, sculpture, ceramics, etc. After you take these, you are required to take Foundations Review in which you display all of your work and are reviewed by various faculty before you can move up to take upper-level classes.
Here are some photographs of my work on display at the Marshall VAC (Visual Arts Center) in Huntington, WV.
Here is a photograph of me standing by my work as well as an overview shot of all my Foundations work.
Two of my pieces "Spark in the Dark" and "Untitled" (ceramics) got chosen to be in the Foundations Review Selected Student Works showcase in the Birke Art Gallery at the VAC.
Here is a closer detailed look at some of the pieces that were featured as a part of my Foundations Review presentation.
