Problem Statement:
Pet owners are significantly influenced by reviews and photos shared by fellow pet owners when considering purchases or services for their furry companions. Currently, there's a notable absence of a dedicated platform akin to "Yelp" tailored specifically for pets. Developing such an application would greatly simplify the process of discovering toys and food options for pets.

Mission/Goal:
The PetLife app aims to assist pet owners in discovering products and services tailored to their beloved animals. Through features like personalized recommendations and saved preferences, users will find an enhanced experience. The absence of a dedicated "Yelp" for pets presents an opportunity to fill this gap, thereby facilitating easier access to essential pet supplies and services.

User Flow:
1. Search/Homepage Button: Upon logging in or signing up, users will be directed to the dashboard/homepage, also serving as the search icon. Here, pet owners can explore and search for desired products and services. Advanced search options, including filters for distance, ratings, and quantity, will streamline the search process.
2. Likes/Saves: The saved button provides users with a centralized location to access all their liked and saved items. This feature enhances user convenience by allowing easy retrieval and management of preferred items.
3. Profile: By selecting the profile icon, users can access their profile page to manage personal information and upload images of their pets. Additionally, users can contribute to the community by adding reviews and photos to products and services they've experienced.
4. Menu Bar: The menu bar offers additional functionalities, including access to deals, events, settings, and the option to add new businesses or products. This section provides users with deeper engagement opportunities, including the ability to contribute new listings for review.
5. Reviews: Users can add reviews directly from the product/service page or their profile, simplifying the process of sharing feedback. The review feature includes options to write detailed reviews and upload accompanying photos for a comprehensive user experience.
6. Product/Service Page: Upon selecting a specific product or service, users will be presented with detailed information and reviews to aid in their decision-making process.

Competitive Analysis:
Google:
Google serves as a comprehensive digital search platform for users seeking information on various topics, including pet-related services and products. While Google offers a vast array of options, navigating through search results and evaluating businesses can be time-consuming. The PetLife app distinguishes itself by providing real-time user reviews and streamlined access to relevant businesses and products, enhancing the user experience.
Yelp (to a Certain Extent):
Yelp is a renowned platform for discovering businesses and services in various categories, primarily focused on human-centric services like restaurants. Although Yelp doesn't currently include pet-related services or products, its emphasis on user reviews presents a potential avenue for competition. The PetLife app aims to bridge this gap by offering similar review-driven insights tailored specifically for pet owners, thereby carving a niche in the market.
