Synopsys: Winning Designer/Maker of Sculpture Installation
My Role: Designer/ maker/ workshop participant
Process: 2 week urban sculpture residency with artist Boris Bally (2014). Now a permanent public artwork; Week 1 participants designed our own sculptures out of road signs adhering to criteria and making our own prototypes. At the end of week 1 my design and prototype was selected as the winning sculpture design. Week 2 the whole group focused on completing the final sculpture based on my designs. The final sculpture was installed as part of a major public greenway development project in Derry.
