Astral Meridian - Fictional Movie Poster Design
Overview:
Astral Meridian is a fictional movie concept blending fantasy and science fiction. This poster was created for a university computing class project, where the assignment was to create a "freaky poster" merging two characters or real-life people into one. I chose to combine Mystique from X-Men, Jinsoul from LOONA, and the concept of The Little Mermaid, with the movie's story being more connected to the moon.

The poster depicts a mystical underwater world with a central mermaid, Celestia, emerging from the depths. The ancient submerged city and ethereal ocean elements create an enchanting scene under the full moon's light.

Process of Creating
1. Research and Sketching:
· Studied fantasy movie posters and sketched the initial concept.
· Combined elements from Mystique, Jinsoul, and The Little Mermaid.

2. Digital Illustration:
· Created the mermaid and underwater scene in Adobe Photoshop, using stock images and digital painting techniques.

3. Color and Effects:
· Applied a cohesive blue-teal palette for an underwater feel.
· Added lighting effects to highlight the character and enhance realism.

· I chose fonts that match the mystical theme and carefully positioned text for balance.
