A few days back, I came across a website where I can order my meal, and they send it through an email. I need to take a print of it to eat. Yes, you read it right. I only need to take a print of my actual meal through an advanced AI printer and enjoy my food. Well, this may be fiction for now, but the world is accelerating at a nonlinear speed, and today's fiction can be tomorrow's reality. 

AI and the industry disruption

The line between fact and fiction is fading away. We are witnessing the metaverse, AI is enabling autonomous cars, and soon there will be flying cars. Our competitors are releasing solar electric cars that convert solar power to electricity, a park-seek mode where a car finds a spot and parks itself. AI is the enabler for these game-changing disruptive innovations. 

Unless we resonate with this pace, we will be out of the market as a company and also as an individual. So, the need of the hour is digital transformation. The digital era demands us to be resilient, and for this, we need a mind shift. We must equip ourselves with the required skills and tools to lead this new world of transformation. 

As an organization

Our mission and values drive us in this transformation journey. We want to magnify the freedom of mobility of our citizens based on our four core values of being customer-centric, agile and innovative, caring for the future and winning together. We advocate for future generations and are working towards producing zero-emission vehicles. To walk towards this future, we cannot work in silos. 

Acquiring a transformative and agile mindset is required in this metamorphosis. The organization understands the importance of being agile and is embracing cross-skilled stakeholders. As part of the digital transformation, Stellantis is expanding by collaborating with multiple partners like Amazon, Foxconn, Google, etc. Working with firms with similar thought processes enhances and enables us to be the leaders in the digital era.

As an individual

Growing our software capabilities is critical at this juncture, and the Software and Data Academy at Stellantis is training and developing our employees with the required skills. Amazon is also supporting us by bringing their experts to train our people. Adding to this, we also started our drive.digital website with multiple resources and essential toolkits to support our employees in this transformation journey. The Coaching office and Digital talent bench are other initiatives with a support system to guide the employees to upskill themselves in various capabilities. 

Stellantis also offers Tech Talks, Tech Bytes, Digital Innovation Days and DigiTalks, bringing digital experts on board to share their insights and experiences. These efforts create mind shifts, resulting in unique, innovative ideas from different verticals. It is required to utilize these opportunities to transform into a mobility tech company.
