This project is based off of a punk reggae band I came up with. I had a lot of fun putting a different spin on the rubber hose styled illustrations. Punk reggae bands typically focus on individual freedom and anti-establishment ideas. I really love how the music created by this sub genre makes you question things. For this project, I really wanted to incorporate some deeper meaning that really fit the sub genre. My idea behind with illustrations I made were geared towards the growing problem of pollution and the idea that mushrooms can help clean up some of that. I recently had watched the documentary, "Fantastic Fungi" where I learned about how mushrooms can actually help clean up oil spills. I decided to take that piece of information and run with it for this project.
