Sofa 3D Model
A Furniture Shop, a distinguished name in the world of home decor, approached me to create a bespoke 3D model of a sofa based on provided dimensions and reference images. Using Blender3D, I embarked on a journey of craftsmanship and attention to detail to bring their vision to life.
PROCESS:
I initiated the project with a preliminary blockout, ensuring the overall proportions align with the provided dimensions. Utilizing subdivision modeling techniques, I iteratively refined the sofa's shape, meticulously adjusting curves and contours to achieve the desired aesthetic.
Moving beyond the basic form, I delved into the intricacies of the design. Small details such as stitches and subtle bumps were meticulously added to enhance the realism of the 3D model, creating a visual and tactile richness that mimics the craftsmanship found in real-world furniture.
Texture application presented its own set of challenges. Multiple attempts were made to find the perfect texture that not only complemented the design but also conveyed the desired tactile quality. The iterative process continued until the texture achieved the desired level of authenticity, adding depth and character to the virtual representation of the sofa.
Working with unconventional reference images and challenging angles posed a unique obstacle. Deciphering the shape and leg placements required careful scrutiny and problem-solving. Through perseverance and creative problem-solving, I overcame these challenges to ensure the accuracy of the 3D model.
OUTCOME:
