Patagonian Winter
Reportage on Patagonia during Winter. Whilst the weather might be harsh and unforgiving (snow blizzard, storms, winds over 100km/h), there is a sense of wilderness and calm at the same time. Parks are basically void of any human being except for the rangers and a few brave trekkers, and cities rhythms are slow. It is possibly the best time of the year in terms of spirituality and the harsh wilderness the first explorers faced, except for the environmental issues (brought by the aqualtures, mines and oil) and the complete annihilation of the Selknam indians in Tierra del Fuego. Today, only a few photographs and solitary statues remember such an ancient culture.
