The video is a visual narrative of the impact my mother's cataclysmic memory loss had on myself, my father and herself. It relates to the way our relationships altered forever, describing my own journey towards understanding and gaining intimacy of my thoughts and emotions. The paintings have been developed organically inside the space, exploring the rawness and physicality of the existing, derelict rooms and wall surfaces, which enhanced the atmosphere and charged emotions that the work conveys.
