Exercise 02: Letterform Joinery

Combine two typographic characters—one positive (black) and one negative (white)—to create a single typographic mark, while trying to ensure that both characters are fully legible.

Reasoning & Approach:

For these compositions I tried to fit the letter forms in ways that both complimented and went against the other letters natural curves. Another one of my goals was to expand the forms so that they extended into the background and take away as much detail from the white letter form while still allowing it to be readable.
