Cobalt Kid
For this project, I focused on the trauma faced by children in the Congo due to cobalt mining and our tendency to overlook their suffering due to distance. These children often become anonymous victims.

To encapsulate this message, I created an image using the prompt: "A child from the Congo, seated beside a rippling puddle of water, gazing at a wall, with the perspective from behind the child, rendered in hyper-realistic detail."
Furthermore, I enhanced the scene by adding a childlike drawing on the wall, depicting cheerful people engaged in play. This addition symbolizes the child's rejection of the harsh reality around them and their retreat into a world of fantasy—a poignant representation of innocence amidst adversity.
I used runway to make the water move, I wasn't completely happy with the end result. So i masked out just the water took it to after effects and tweaked the movement and speed of the water.
