Divka Antik - Logo and identity for an Antique Store

In a quiet suburb of Jakarta, Indonesia, you will find a charming antique shop called Divka Antik. This hidden gem offers a peaceful escape from the busy streets of the city and invites lovers of the past to immerse themselves in a world of treasures.

The owner, a passionate collector with a deep love for the past and tattoos, carefully curates the collection where each artifact tells a unique story of history and heritage.
This project was about logo face lift and upgrade of the visual identity and original branding, which was created by my studio in 2016.

Although, in my opinion, the logo itself meets the requirements of timelessness and is still current despite its age, I found shortcomings in the actuality of the overall visual identity, so I decided to redesign it. My goal was to preserve the aesthetics of this unique line of business, but at the same time move it more into the present.

I didn't interfere too much with the logo itself, because the owner had it tattooed on his forearm at the time, so a radical redesign of the logo was out of the question in this case.
In cooperation with artificial intelligence, I prepared a series of claims and headlines for Divka Antik, suitable for use on social networks and other places such as the website or flyers. When entering the requirements in the GTP chat, we wanted to especially emphasize history, uniqueness, luxury, orientalism and love of mysteries and old times.

I edited these texts/claims that arose from this communication to make them more "human like".
I tried to capture the aesthetics of collectors and the atmosphere of antique collections. Gradually, while chatting with chat GTP, I moved further and further towards the final claims and headlines for use specifically for social networks as a unifying aesthetic element to create the appropriate atmosphere.

At first it was difficult for me to enter the commands in such a way that the result corresponded to my expectation - simply, after years of short and "pinched" keywords, so far from normal spoken speech, now I can use an advanced language again when communicating with a computer, and it's like going back to language himself. Finally, now I can afford to use beautiful language and not worry about not getting the result. I feel the same way about antiques – after years of bare-bones minimalism, it's refreshing to step back in time to a time when embellishment wasn't a crime.
