One of my favorite experiences with a risky design piece was my my first commissioned work. The act of being commissioned is actually the very reason that I consider this piece to be 'risky', as I had no prior experience with another person and their thoughts on elements like composition, color, etc. Below, my entire design process is pictured. What started as a white basketball to honor 'Career Three-Pointers' went through many design changes before it became a basketball to showcase 'Total Career Points'. While creating these designs, I was introduced to the idea of going back and forth until both the designer and customer were happy, which is a process I hope to become more familiar with in the future. Moving forward, I have ambitions to undergo this process so many times that I no longer find it risky or intimidating, but rather one that allows my confidence and communication to thrive.
