STATTBAD, Berlin, 2014
I was invited to paint this mural over the summer during a visit to Berlin. Called 'Tug of War,' the piece reflects upon a moment of indecision, a central protagonist caught in conflict between two choices of equal pro and con. In spite of, or perhaps belied by, these heartwrenching moments of internal dispute, it is these cathartic moments of growth wherein we may slough off the layers of false context in which we are encased, and by which we are defined.
