Colour palettes & exploration

Colour Palettes and Exploration.
To initially explore some alternative colour palettes from the one I had in mind, I used the website 'Coolors.com' which I was familiar with to create a variety of alternative colour combinations. I looked at warmer colours as as well as the other side of the spectrum of cooler and neutral palettes. I wrote about about what I liked in each palette and why I had chosen to consider it, this led me to concentrate on my specific palette of natural colours of greens as I think it was obvious for my direction of work.
Following my media experimentation week I emphasised the different colours that I was going to consider when thinking about my specific palette. I mainly worked with greens and different shades in this colour area, from the start of this project I think my colour palette has been clear through the pages of my sketchbook; this being through mood boards, research pages and experimentation. I could see a natural themed colour palette shining through of greens and browns which I felt matched the theme of environment.
This was some secondary research in which I mainly focused on the style and colour palette of the famous Restaurant 'Sketch' in London in particular looking at the room 'The Glade'. I loved the decor and aesthetic of the furnishings and details in the room aswell as starting to analysing how different colours made me feel and the visual aids it had for this interior towards an audience.
From this I developed into some research on colour phsycology and the effects of the colour green on humans! I felt this was interesting to briefly research particularly with its links to nature and that within an interior space the colour green would have positive effects on peoples mentality therefore using it within my own colour palette was the best idea.
