DRAWING ABILITY
DESCRIPTION AND PROCESS
I selected this piece to demonstrate my drawing ability and my level of skill with making a proportionally correct image. The reason behind me choosing this piece is because it exemplifies my ability to shade with charcoal to properly represent the still-life that was in front of me. I completed this work in my Art 121:Observational Drawing class, which definitely helped me grow in my capability to draw a realistic still-life. My process with this piece, and all of my other drawings from Art 121, was simple. I just did gesture drawings until I found the right perspective and proportions. Then I worked section by section and took advice from my professor until the piece came to a finishing point.
