Observational Drawing No. 2
This was my second drawing project of the semester in my Observational Drawing class where we were tasked to create a cross contour piece. I wanted to challenge myself in terms of creating an interesting composition and my drawing ability itself, so I kept those two details in mind while creating this piece. Overall, I am proud of how it turned out as I love how dynamic the lines and curves turned out and created a compelling composition.
This is a piece demonstrates my strong drawing ability by allowing the illusion of depth within a two-dimensional plane. Not only that, but each of the props within the piece look realistic as if they hold weight within their space. This piece also shows my strong drawing ability by showing my capacity to visually show variety within different forms, from the flowy nature of the fabric to the refracted nature of the glass pitcher in the center.
