ILLUSTRATIONS FOR A CHILDREN’S TALE
In the beginning of the year my sister, who writes quests for a mobile app “My way” asked me to draw illustrations for a children’s tale, that one of the main characters in her upcoming quest would read to others.
With this project I decided to explore a new style. The result you can see below.
Enjoy!
Sketches
This is a story about a princess. She has a key, but she doesn't know what this key is suppose to open. One day an evil sorcerer comes to the castle and turnes everyone into stones. Exept for the princess. She was with her friend the stable boy at the stables. I guess the magic doesn't go beyond castle walls limit. Long story short, the king visits his daughter in her dream and tells her that this key opens not doors, but hearts. Princess suddenly knows how to save her kingdom, goes to the evil sorcerer, and "opens his heart". You get that it's a metaphor, right? Evil sorcerer is not evil anymore.
FINAL ILLUSTRATIONS
I had so much fun illustrating this tale!

My main focus was on simplicity, bright colours, and cuteness. The users of “My way” app agree that I nailed it.

Thank you so much for watching!
