The following is freelance work done for Mpande Ethmno Medicine at the start of 2024.
I was asked to conceptualize, design and illustrate a retreat center including a large ceremony space, servers quarters, private treatment rooms, bathrooms, a kitchen and living space, as well as outdoor spaces (for yoga, dance, etc.), and a fire place, natural pool and fire-tub. They wanted the design to be eco-centric and incorporate the natural surroundings. I started with a birds-eye design to lay out where everything would be, working closely with the client through every stage, making necessary adjustments and additions, and then did a digital painting of the design for them to be able to visualize it.
This is an on-going project, as the client wants me to add some rough, architectural sketches on the digital painting above the full artwork. So far this project has been done over the span of 2 weeks. There was no specific deadline given for the final illustration, as they are able to use the existing designs to show to investors and the likes.
