[Projected light, MDF]

As an artist, I am interested in how we see and understand the world around us. This work is an exploration of light and space, investigating how these elements can inform or deceive visual perception.

Our experiences tell us that vision is effortless; we look at an object and we see it. Our visual system processes stimuli so quickly that to us, it appears almost instantaneous. This work offers a fresh awareness of visual perception; revealing our ignorance to the complexities of sight.

The work acknowledges the vital role of the spectator who co-produces the work through their perceptual interpretations of light and space.
