Danzantes Del Alma: Celebraciones Del Alma
Project 4 is about creating a poster for an existing event. Using skills that we leaned in exercise 6-11, and both illustrator and photoshop, I created this poster. This poster reflects a performing arts event, that I focused on and research, also using any knowledge that I have from being part of Danzantes Del Alma.
Final Design
Danzantes Del Alma (Dancers of the soul) is a retention program held under the Cross Cultural Center here at UC Davis. Performing art through the form of Dance (Ballet Folklorico) is what DDA's dance troupe does best. This year DDA is holding their 45th Annual Show at the Mondavi Center for the 3rd year in a row! This years show will feature 6 regions (Sates of Mexico), one of them being a secret for the seniors own showcase. The featured regions are Yucatan, Veracruz, Chiapas, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas.
I created this design to highlight the theme of this year's show; Celebraciones Del Alma (Celebrations of the soul). I also highlighted the names of the regions performing as well as any other information relevant to the event such as time, date, and location. Images consist of pictures I grabbed from the shared google drive of this years photoshoot. The QR code will send you directly to the Monday Center's website to purchase tickets to the show.

These 4 images are iterations of my project. I kept changing the images (1) because some came out too Pixelated and (2) they didn't capture my vision of what I wanted the poster to come out.
