A Typographic Poster
The best way to describe this project is a PSA. For this project we had to find a theme present in the 1984 book or film and create a poster surrounding that idea. In my case, I went with the theme of lying.
Sketches
The initial idea for poster one was for the background to be a random TikTok post. My reasoning was because I wanted to use the UI for the poster. I also wanted the font to have a newspaper aesthetic as seen in the final design of the third poster. The idea was scrapped because all the elements did not go well together.

For the second poster I had two different ideas. I ultimately decided on the second idea because of the elements I add included and its relevance to the book/movie. The first idea sort of strayed away from the theme since it was a reference to a manga that calls out the dark side of the entertainment industry, more specifically the idol industry. The phrase "I Love You" plays a big role in the manga since one of the characters says it a lot because it's apart of her job, but she refuses to say it to her loved ones due to fearing it might be lie. In the poster I wanted to the phrase "I Love You" to appear as if it was scratched onto something. The figures in the background were going to be the character I mentioned before. It was going to be the line art for the character, and the middle figure was going to be white while the other two were red and blue.

The last design was used for the final version of the third poster, the only difference was the headline. Everything but the word search was originally intended for the first poster. The idea for the headline came from the first poster since both focus on the topic of fake news. The word search seen in the sketch is the same one in the poster with the exception of the 14th column since that was created accidentally. The use of a word search originated from the idea of making the audience look for the truth. I wanted the puzzle to be similar to Where's Waldo, but the problem was that I had idea how I was going to implement it.
