Cloud Strife Animation - Final fanatsy VII
For the release of Final Fantasy VII rebirth, I replayed the first "remake" game and came up with the idea of making this aniamtion around Cloud Strife.
The scene takes place inside a subway, in reference to the train that surrounds Midgar.
All the visual elements were modeled by me, except for Cloud's character, which I found in FBX format on Devianart.
This project allowed me to improve my scene and interior design skills, as Midgar is a city that at first glance appears to be futuristic/dystopian/steampunk. So I wanted to bring that dusty, dirty feel back into the scene.
Animating the character in a lively way, with his hair and head moving, makes for a more immersive scene. Breathing was also essential to bring Cloud to life. A first for me.
