VR Worlds: Architectural Office

Project Title: VR Worlds: Architectural Office
Developer: VISAR Studio
Creator: Maxim Vasiliev
Development Platform: Unreal Engine

Our VISAR Studio team has successfully completed the development of the architectural part of a small interactive virtual reality (VR) office and integrated several test models of houses from an existing settlement project. For practice and testing, we decided to use this office for our own needs. We have created three different locations:

1. A negotiation location equipped with large windows, a central table in the hall, a cozy corner for clients, and a large panel for demonstrating video clips and promotional materials.

2. The second location is intended for demonstrating various equipment and buildings. Here, we plan to present virtual models of houses, settlements, residential complexes, elements of urban improvement, home plots, etc.

3. The third location is the developer studio.

We are pleased to see how the virtual office matches the physical one. Realism blurs the line between the computer and physical worlds. These are just test locations where we demonstrate how a modern virtual office and showroom can look and function in a virtual environment. In the future, we plan to introduce multiplayer so that anyone from anywhere in the world, with just a virtual reality headset, can come to our office and conduct negotiations, showcase their architectural designs, or observe the work of other project participants.
One of the advantages of such showrooms is the simplified presentation of large exterior projects in virtual reality. Although VR technology requires significant resources, we strive to present your projects in a way that ensures high-quality perception, maximum immersion in VR for clients or partners, while maintaining project productivity. For example, a client viewing the complex as a 3D model receives maximum information about the layout of houses, landscaping, and can examine the master plan of the entire model as if from a bird's-eye view, which would be impossible in real 1:1 scale.
Today we will show a video clip and static renders, and in the next post, we will demonstrate how it works in virtual reality - record a virtual walk using VR headset.
