I designed a custom typeface called Convivial Script that incorporates elements of both formal and casual script fonts for a typeface that is antique-inspired but slightly modern. I focused on balancing thick and thin lines and on the connective strokes at the beginning and end of the letterforms. Below is an extensive array of the many different glyphs of my typeface, including letterforms, punctuation, symbols, and accented characters.
I also created a type specimen poster that displays the font in more functional contexts, specifically as letterforms, titles, and bodies of text.
