Rave collection
Punk throughout London was a moment that consisted of rebellion against social norms. Punks often rejected mainstream, corporate, and mass culture values. Punk is loud, Obnoxious, and rebellious, which I want to incorporate into this collection. My collection is titled “Rave”. In “Rave,” Punks are dressed in exciting colors, distorted logos, and unordinary fabrics. Fabrics such as tweed, wool Dacron, and lace add an exciting feel to a fascinating subculture. In this collection, you will see models without shoes, Models with masks that cover their eyes, chokers, and loose ends all through the garments. Punk, to me, means rebellious, taking no shit, and pushing for what you think is right.
Rave is designed to be a gender-neutral collection based on spring and summer.
My muse, Sid, vicious encapsulates what this collection is about.
Sid Vicious was known for being troubling, controversial, and charismatic. He was also known for his fashion sense; Sid Vicious had a very DIY clothing aesthetic. That followed through his way of music. He also inspired contemporary trends, which I plan to do with my collection.
