Los argentinos no conocemos la continuidad ni la permanencia; nuestro hábitat natural es la vorágine y la conmoción. Solo en contextos de incertidumbre el argentino reconoce su esencia. Acostumbrados a esta forma de vida, nos hemos construído una coraza embestida de carácter e ironía para hacerle frente a los golpes.
We Argentines do not know continuity or permanence; our natural habitat is maelstrom and commotion. Only in contexts of uncertainty does the Argentine recognize its essence. Accustomed to this way of life, we have built a heart full of character and irony to face the blows.
El pasado juega un papel fundamental en evocar la felicidad, como herramienta de combate ante la inmanente obstaculización.
El recuerdo de algo que alguna vez fue o prometió ser, permite atenuar el impacto y a su vez, acelerar el recorrido.
Para el argentino la felicidad es la línea de llegada, la nostalgia es nuestro motor, y el humor; la contención que nos resguarda y nos permite avanzar.
The past plays a fundamental role in evoking happiness, as a combat tool against immanent obstruction. The memory of something that once was or promised to be, allows us to mitigate the impact and, in turn, accelerate the journey. For the Argentinian, happiness is the finish line, nostalgia is our driving force, and humor; the containment that protects us and allows us to move forward.
Los argentinos somos seres tragicómicos por naturaleza. Somos fruto de un prolongado tropiezo, el cual hemos aprendido a prever y amortiguar mediante el humor. Los argentinos fuimos, somos y seremos choque amortiguado.
We Argentines are tragicomic beings by nature. We are the result of a prolonged setback, which we have learned to anticipate and cushion through humor. We Argentines were, are and will be a cushioned shock.
