Timisoara - City Brand Proposal Project
City brand proposal for Timișoara as part of the local strategy to promote the city after the year 2023 when it held the title of European Capital of Culture.

Logo is a proposal with ongoing discussions with the local authorities about possible adoption as official city brand
Icon is designed around three symbols that are emblems for the city and its brand strategy:

1. Street lantern - symbolic for Timisoara as the first city with fully electric street lighting in the world.
Light was the main communication element of it's cultural brand in 2023 - with the official slogan: "Shine your light, light up your city!"

2. Heart - symbolic of the strong sense of community and passion of its citizens, their hospitable nature and their open hearts to all cultures

3. Medieval Star Shaped Fortress - direct reference to the city's rich history and it's actual old architecture
Resulting logo is a combination of the strong and unique icon combined with a custom sans serif typeface
For the slogan proposal, the request was that it follows the brand strategy of "City of Lights" and that it translates well into English and German language (as part of the tourist attraction strategy)

The slogan we chose is in fact a combination of the three elements of the logo design: "The HeartWarming City" sends direct reference to light (warmth), heart and fortress (city) and translates into both Romanian and German equivalents
The ongoing proposal explores a variety of possible applications.
We are particularly focused on making the logo "Shine Bright" at night, to enhance the initial core concept of "City of Lights"
Exploring different applications in various sizes and formats, as well as cobranding principles with official city institutions
