Microsoft Design enlisted us to help with the launch of the new Outlook for Windows. A staple in the global population’s professional and personal lives, Outlook boasts a wide array of premium features, now accessible to all users.
Our films explore these features and their capabilities. Playing with a romanticised UI, we intended to evoke the functionality of the user journey, whilst soft, beautiful gradients reiterated the ease Outlook brings to your workflow.
To best resonate with the viewer, the devices are situated in welcoming, photo-real, 3D environments. These spaces are carefully curated to feel aspirational yet approachable, mimicking the effortless nature of the software.
The score has moments of discovery and delight that emphasise the product journey and the feeling users get as their potential is pushed further.
We were also entrusted with bringing the updated Outlook logo to life. Recreating this in 3D, we incorporated the subtle nuances and artefacts found within the wider Microsoft logo suite, with lighting that reflected the iconic blue hues of the Outlook palette.
