This project started as an attempt to learn more about the Haskell programming language. It is a purely functional programming language, known for its expressiveness and its robutness. Functional programming relies heavily on recursion which makes it a perfect tool for displaying fractal patterns. One of the most well known fractal patterns is called Julia sets, named after the French mathematician Gaston Julia.

Julia sets are plotted using orbit trap techniques and the escape time algorithm, in addition of various mappings of the complex plane.
