Shine Project

Welcome back to another project!
This project is called shine, a project based on the feedback of one of my pervious projects. The Ambition Project. In this project I want to make a artwork of a dragon skeleton and I want it printed out on a t-shirt. I also want to make some stickers that are based on my characters from my English story and show my proces on a foamboard. I will be taking you through the proces:)
First of all I started with the planning, because it's nicer and you can just follow the steps:)
As you can see I have a few deadlines beause of the t-shirt and the stickers.
I didn't know what kind of dragon I wanted the skeleton to be. So I made a variation of dragons I like and made sketches.
I couldn't choose one dragon so I came out on these two. The Scylla and The Crystal. I mixed them together and named him Crystals Skeleton.
So on I made a sketch.
And this was the result:)
I made a styleboard for the skeleton. It's always useful to know what kind of animal of object you want it to look like.
These were my first sketches for the skull.
This was my sketch for his whole body.
And this was my first intention for the final artwork.
I made two sketches for the skull. I wanted the second one because it looks more impressive and more detailed.
I took the skull and put it on the body, then I made the sketch.
Before I started to make the final product I wantend to know what kind of colors I wanted so I made a little board filled with colors:)
Here I played with lighting and shadows, how I wanted Crystal to pose on a rock, and how I wanted the background to look.
There we go! I finally started to create the outlines and coloring.
I added the grass, torches, the moon, rocks, clouds, stars, trees in the background, and a little bit of shadow on Crystal.
Here it started to get serious. It's crazy how much difference only a shadow makes:0 For the rest I added more details on the moon and lightning on Crystal. It was already looking more realistic.
For some final details I added more clouds, more shadow, more lightning, more light around the torches, more lightning and shadow on the rocks, lightning on the trees, and some birds in the sky.
Just my signature and BOOM! This is my final artwork. I think it turned out sooo gooood. I am very happy with him:)
I asked some feedback from my teachers here. Maybe the next time I can make the stones more realistic. For the rest it was a fantastic drawing and I need to continue delivering such awesome work:)
My idea was to print Crystal on the back of the t-shirt and print the name Crystals Skeleton on the front side.
I experimented with some different fonts.
I found a font I liked and this is how I want the front letters to look like.
This is the final product for the T-shirt. It turned out amazing. The font is glow in the dark and it looks very cool. I am very happy with it:)
I also printed out a poster. This one turned out very big and beautiful with glossy paper.
I also made a foamboard to show my proces.
This is how I want my table to look like.
I also wanted to make stickers based on my characters from my story I had to write for English. I will make them cute:)
First I started to sketch. As always:)
I made the final sketch.
So on I made the line out and added color.
From here it's just blending and erasing the bits of color that have gone over the line art.
There we go. The stickers are done.
These two are TJ and Cedric. The one on the left is TJ and the one on the right is Cedric.
These two are Carolyn and Buddy. The one on the left is Carolyn and the one on the right is Buddy.
And at last Alistair and Emily. The one on the left is Alistair, well known for a lot of my projects and the one on the right is Emily.
Finally! I got the stickers. As you can see I have a bunch of them. I am very happy with the end result.
I had a lot of fun with this project and I have learned new things too. I am looking forward to making such a project again:)
This was my Shine project. I hope you enjoyed it and don't forget to check out my other projects on Behance:)
This project is made possible by Procreate, Adobe Illutrator, and the makerspace.
