Purpose
The purpose behind the North Peak Triathlon is to offer a fun athletic challenge while promoting awareness of athlete health and environmental conservation, with a heavy emphasis on the reforestation efforts in Glacier National Park. Through this event, the North Peak Triathlon aims to inspire participants to prioritize their well-being and contribute to the preservation of our natural resources.
Brainstorms & Sketching
When developing this project my end goal was to create an event that would display the natural beauty of Glacier National Park and raise funds for forest reforestation. The brainstorm shows my exploration of words and phrases relating to a triathlon and then nature. As for the logo I wanted to explore a simplified shape with sharp corner to reflect the mountainous terrain. The comp I chose represented the mountains, the letter "N" (North Peak), and a hint towards alpine fir tree tops.
Flag & Accessories 
The feather flag was chosen to be placed onsite of the race near the entrance so participants were drawn in towards the event and had brand recognition. The primary pattern was developed during the creation of the apparel design as the shapes and angles were pulled from the logo.  The pattern is applied across many projects to further develop brand recognition and consistency. This apparel design is specifically for athletes who will be participating in the triathlon event, which is signified trhough the swimmer, biker, and runner icons on the sleeve as well as the racing tag that is provided at check-in.
Event Invatation
This purpose of this invatation was to create an eyecatching design that encourages exclusively invited guests to open it up. It was fun getting to experiment with a die-cut on the outter envelope which reveals a gradient pattern on the inner envelope when it is pulled out. A special feature that was included in the innter tri-fold is a sneak peak of the apperal design. Underneath the shirt there is promo code for a discount to the racers application, encouraging them to sign up promptly. 
Social Media Posts​​​​​​​
The goal of these posts were to reach two audiences on different platforms to exclusively target and promot the North Peak Triathlon to them. 
Target Market #1 (Instagram): The Instagram ads were created for female runners who are also social media influencers. Emphasizing the community aspect of the race because that is what the influencers are trying to do with their platforms. The location that was targeted is Montana, the state where the triathlon is being held, where many of the influencers already live. 
Target Market #2 (Web Banner): The target market for the web banners was men in their early 30's who work corporate jobs in New York City. It is a clean, straightforward design to reflect the targeted lifestyle. The ad is being displayed on USA Today's website but could be advertised on many news websites.
